In semester one, students will attend TAFE four days per week, with one day per week allocated as work placement. Work placement will commence in Week 6 for 1 day per week in the first Semester.
In semester two, three and four, students will attend TAFE three days per week, with two days per week allocated as work placement.
While at TAFE, SchoolTech students will be allocated breaks for morning tea and lunch.
Core school subjects will be delivered over approximately three (3) hours each per week. Trade or Vocational Training components (theory and practical) will be delivered over approximately six (6) hours per week.
School subjects are timetabled around work experience placement to avoid conflicting with class time. This ensures a smooth transition from school to work.
