Core subjects

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The SchoolTech program is delivered over two years, commencing in January. It provides support for students to complete the necessary subjects to obtain their QCE, gain vocational experience, knowledge and skills, and obtain a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship.

Students will enrol in six (6) CORE subjects:

  • Essential English
  • Essential Mathematics
  • Social and Community Studies
  • Sport and Recreation
  • BSB10120- Certificate I in Workplace Skills
  • Trade or Vocational Area

Staff from TAFE Queensland (RTO Code: 0275) will deliver trade and vocational programs and Education Queensland staff from Woree State High School (RTO Code: 30457) will deliver applied subjects and BSB10120​Certificate I in Workplace Skills.

Enrolment into a Vocational Education Training Course (VET) after the start date may lead to a statement of attainment/s only, rather than the complete qualification.

To obtain a certificate or qualification all students studying a VET course must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). For more information visit: www.usi.​gov.au.​

All courses are delivered by qualified staff awarded a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessing, and who possess current industry skills.
